Terrorist Attacks in Kuwait

Last week ( Currently Oct 19th, 2002 ), the Kuwait parliament was very busy with the introduction of new anti-terrorism legislation, when two apparently terrorist attacks took place on US Soldiers based in Kuwait.

Seemingly, most western news sources ignore the facts that these laws were already being discussed when the attacks took place and were not a result of the attacks themselves. Situation in Indonesia is very much alike.

The Kuwait government said it approved a draft law during Sunday's meeting to join an international anti-terrorism treaty and another to collect illegal weapons in the hands of some people in Kuwait since the Gulf War.

The two drafts require approval by an elected parliament.
